We select the most appropriate sizes of lumber, paying particular attention to subtleties in wood grain and colour consistency. This raw material is examined several times each day during a 45 day drying period under carefully controlled conditions, stabilizing the wood at a 10% humidity throughout and guaranteeing that the wood will not warp, swell or move within the frames.
The selected wood is cut slightly oversized into predefined sizes, and its edges are prepared using precision tools to ensure airtight perfection at every joint.
The doors are assembled using special extra hard 1/2" dowels, 4 3/4" long. They are pressed at specific pressures in order to ensure the strongest bond between the waterproof glue and wood. After just the right drying time, the doors are cut down to their final sizes and hand sanded to a perfect finish. The epitome of durability and natural elegance.
